HeraHera is the wife and sister of Zeus. She's the queen of all the gods and is known as the goddess of marriage and women. In most illustrations and pictures she is shown as a beautiful women holding a lotus-tipped staff. A majority of myths say that Hera had her children with Zeus, but some say that she had children by either slapping her hand on the ground or eating lettuce. Hera is described as being very jealous of all of Zeus' affairs. Though she had a special position on Mount Olympus, she often resided in Argos, where she was the city state's patron goddess.
